Admission criteria and selection procedure


Admission/Eligibility criteria

STeDe Master course is open to non-EU and EU candidates.

Candidates are required to have:

  • a first cycle academic degree of at least 3 years - 180 ECTS credits (Licenciatura, Academic Bachelor degree, Diploma di Laurea di primo livello, Licence) or an equivalent degree (Diplôme d'Ecole d'Ingénieurs, Ecole de Commerce etc.), officially recognized by the national law;
  • a good command of English and French, both spoken and written
  • a personal interest on sustainable development (see the Personal Statement form);
  • a basic knowledge of economics will be appreciated.


LANGUAGE CERTIFICATES/DIPLOMAS are not required to be eligible to participate to Master Programme. However, IF SELECTED your language proficiency in both english and french will be verified during a SKYPE INTERVIEW. Students WITHOUT A GOOD COMMAND of one of the two languages of instruction will be requested to attend a compulsory language training course outside curriculum BEFORE classes start.

Deadline for submission of applications for STeDe Master course 2017/19 (course starting September 25th 2017)

  • January, 31st 2017

Incomplete applications will not be considered

Selection criteria

Selection criteria are:

  • academic and/or professional excellence;
  • interest in the topic of sustainable territorial development (see personal statement);
  • knowledge of English and French language;
  • a basic knowledge of economics will be appreciated;
  • reference letters

Selection procedure

    • Step 1: Receiving applications: October 13th 2016 - January 31st 2017
    • Step 2: Pre-selected candidates will be notified and a skype interview will be fixed
    • Step 2: All selected students, students on the reserve list and not selected will be notified by email by April 30th 2017.


Appeal procedure

Any complaint about the decisions of the "Selection Committee" must be produced by 7 days after the notification of the selection results.
